The blasts took place near Tarin Kowt, the capital of Oruzgan in southern Afghanistan.
The first bomb killed three police officers and injured three civilians. The province was struck by a second roadside bomb a few hours later, fatally wounding eight Afghan soldiers.
No one has claimed responsibility for the attacks.
Earlier this week, 40 people were killed and many wounded after a bomb exploded in the eastern provinces of Paktia and Khost.
